Cloudmore 5.0 is the biggest release in our history. It is still the same platform, with the same data, the same features and the same API. You move to it on your own timeline.
What Cloudmore 5.0 is
Cloudmore 5.0 is a rebuild of the platform's foundation.
We have replaced several of the core backend technologies the platform has run on for years with modern equivalents. On top of that, we have redesigned the entire user interface from the ground up. It is the result of the largest engineering investment we have ever made.
It is worth being clear about what it is not. It is not a new product, and it is not a migration you have to run. It is the same platform.
Your customers, subscriptions, pricing, branding, integrations and settings all stay exactly where they are. Every feature you use today is still there. Your team keeps their existing logins, your MFA and SSO setups keep working, your API keeps working, and your branded URL does not change.
What changes is how the platform feels to use, and how quickly we can build what you ask for next.
Why we did it
Three reasons, in order of importance.
Security. You trust us with your customers, your tenants and your billing. That means security cannot be something we are merely good enough at. The legacy foundation has been replaced with modern technology, the entire authentication system is new, and the platform goes through an independent external penetration test before the full rollout.
Speed and stability. The platform is dramatically faster. On the pages you open most, load times have dropped from around three seconds to well under one. That sounds small until you multiply it by how often your team opens those pages in a day.
Everything that comes after. Every feature we build now goes into a codebase that is simpler and cleaner. Less time fighting the old platform means more time building what you have asked for. You should see the pace pick up from here.
5.0 is the foundation for what comes next, rather than the finish line.
Who it affects
You and your team see the most change. The interface is new, the navigation is reorganised, and everyday tasks have been streamlined. Expect a week or two of settling in.
Your customers see the new interface once you switch. Their logins are unchanged and nothing is asked of them. Organization-level reporting has improved, so what they see is better than before.
Your integrations are unaffected. The API is the same.
