What has changed

Cloudmore 5.0 is the largest release in our history: a rebuilt foundation and a completely redesigned interface. It is still the same platform. Your customers, subscriptions, pricing, branding, integrations and settings all stay exactly where they are.

The short version

We replaced the technology the platform has run on for years, and redesigned the interface on top of it. Three things change for you:

  • It is dramatically faster. Pages that took three seconds now appear in well under one.

  • It is more secure. A brand new authentication system, with passkeys and app-based MFA available when you want them.

  • It is built around your working day. Navigation, pages and everyday tasks were reorganised around what you actually do, not around how the system is structured.

And one thing that does not change: this is the same platform, with the same data, the same features and the same API.

What stays exactly as it is

Nothing moves. There is no migration for you to run and nothing to re-create.

Area

What happens

Your customers, subscriptions and billing data

Unchanged. Both interfaces share the same live data.

Logins and passwords

Keep working. Nobody on your team or at your customers needs a new account.

MFA, SSO and API credentials

Keep working. Nothing to re-enrol.

Your branding

Carries over, with more options added.

Your branded URL

Stays the same. No DNS or address changes on your side.

The API

Unchanged. Every endpoint and call you use today continues to work.

Faster, measurably

We benchmarked the organizations page — one of the pages you open most — against a broker account with 100 organizations, using Google Lighthouse.

A second here and there sounds small. Your team opens these pages dozens of times a day, so it adds up to real time back in everyone’s week. The improvement holds across the platform and has been tested with very large data sets, so it applies whether you manage twenty customers or twenty thousand.

More secure, by design

The entire authentication system is new. The legacy identity components have been removed and replaced end to end, and the platform will go through an independent external penetration test before the full rollout — we would rather have a third party confirm it than simply tell you it is secure.

New options you can adopt when it suits you:

  • Passkeys — sign in with a fingerprint or face instead of a password.

  • App-based MFA — use an authenticator app rather than relying on text messages.

  • Smoother SAML SSO setup — a new backend makes connecting your identity provider considerably easier.

  • Hardened API authentication for your integrations.

  • Per-user sign-in methods — each user can set up their own combination of ways to sign in.

These are options, not requirements. There is no deadline to adopt any of them and your existing sign-in methods continue to work. We do encourage you to try them.

Built around your working day

The biggest visible change is the interface. Functions are broadly the same; where they live is better.

  • Menus organised around daily tasks. The things you use constantly are at the top. Occasional destinations moved out of the way rather than competing for attention.

  • Fewer clicks to the same place. On every list, clicking the first column performs the main action for that row — no more hunting through an actions menu for the thing you wanted.

  • Switch customer without losing your place. Looking at one organization’s billing and need another? Switch from the top bar and stay on the same page. The same works for sellers moving between brokers.

  • Export and refresh everywhere. Every table has a download button and a refresh button in the same place. On Microsoft pages, refresh triggers a sync on demand and shows you when the last one ran.

  • Help where you are. Every page links to the most relevant knowledge base article, so guidance is one click away rather than a search away.

  • Bulk management. Add or change many organizations, users and subscriptions at once, with a clear side-by-side view of what is selected and what is already assigned.

  • Consistent patterns. Lists, tabs, filters and dialogs behave the same way everywhere, so learning one page teaches you the rest.

What gets easier, day by day

Managing customers and groups

Organization groups now sit on their own tab alongside your organizations, showing how many customers are in each group. Assigning and removing customers uses a side-by-side picker: search, select several at once, and see immediately which organizations are already in the group. No more guessing at membership or accidentally assigning the wrong customer.

Managing subscriptions

This is where most of your day goes, so it got the most attention.

  • Changing quantity is its own task. Previously you opened the whole subscription to edit one field. Now there is a focused view that shows the current quantity, any quantity change already scheduled for renewal, and the prorated amount for a mid-term change.

  • Now or at renewal, your choice. Quantity changes, product changes and cancellations can each take effect immediately or at renewal. You decide in the moment, in the same place, rather than remembering which screen handles which timing.

  • Clearer buying decisions. When you create a subscription, all term and payment-frequency combinations for a product load together, so you can compare commitment against price at a glance instead of checking one combination at a time.

  • Suspend is distinct from cancel. Suspending restricts access while billing continues, and it is clearly separated from cancellation so the two are not confused.

  • Broker-only fields are clearly marked. Purchase order number and hide-from-billing sit in their own section, so you can be confident about what your customer can and cannot see.

  • Subscription price history is visible per subscription and can be exported.

Pricing

  • All price setting now runs through one consistent model, whether you are setting a negotiated fixed sales price for a single product or applying a margin or discount across many products at once.

  • Clicking a product shows its full price history: what the price was, at which level, and for which period.

  • For a customer, broker-level pricing and customer-specific overrides are shown together and visually distinguished, so it is obvious what a customer is actually on and where that price comes from.

  • Currency settings are consolidated onto one page, so you can see at a glance which currencies you offer across which services, and set your own exchange rates where needed.

Billing and reporting

  • Drill down instead of scrolling. Move from a billing date to a customer, to a service, to a subscription, to individual billing lines — each step narrows the view rather than piling more rows onto the screen. Totals are always one jump away at the bottom.

  • Add manual billing lines in context. Add a line exactly where you are, without re-entering the date, service, customer and subscription you have already navigated to.

  • Exports leave a trail. Every report export is recorded with its filters and date range, and you can download it again from the interface instead of digging through email. That is a useful compliance record as well as a convenience.

  • Scheduled reports are available for the billing report.

  • Charts show billing trends at a glance, for you and for your customers.

  • Your customers see the same quality of report you do. Organization-level billing now matches broker-level capability, showing total sales without costs or margins. You can walk a customer through their own billing on screen, with no risk of exposing your cost prices.

Microsoft reconciliation

A reworked view compares each Microsoft invoice against what Cloudmore has billed, and shows you the difference. From there you can open an invoice to see how it breaks down, where the discrepancies are, and — most usefully — which subscriptions are running at a negative margin. It turns a reconciliation chore into a way of finding revenue you are currently losing.

Agreements

Microsoft customer agreements, organization agreements and service agreements are brought together on one page under clear tabs, with signature status and dates, and the ability to create a new agreement and make it the current one. Agreement management is finally in a single place.

Services

Your active services and the catalogue of services available to add are now clearly separated. The service overview links straight through to the customers and subscriptions using that service, with the right filters already applied.

Quotes

The quote tool has been substantially improved: building a quote, adding products and custom pricing, sending it to a customer and having them accept it are all considerably easier. If you have not used it recently, it is worth another look.

Branding

Noticeably more control over how the platform looks to your customers: header banner shown, hidden or compact; separately configurable highlight and button colours; gradients; independently styled side menu; configurable page background; and branding on the sign-in page. Worth reviewing early — there is more you can do than before.

Activity logs

The separate provisioning and events logs are combined into one place and presented in a more readable format, so checking what happened and when is less of a chore.

New alongside 5.0

These arrived in Q3 and are valuable in their own right.

What

Why it matters to you

Microsoft NCE promotions at order time

Promotion eligibility is checked inside the subscription flow. You see instantly whether a customer qualifies and can apply the promotion, adjust the price, or keep standard pricing. No more checking Partner Center separately — and no more missed promotions.

Complete subscription report

Every active subscription, across every service, for all your customers, exported in one click and delivered to your inbox. Account managers automatically see only their assigned customers, so it is relevant by default.

Rebuilt approvals

Internal approvals are now supported for both brokers and customers. Choose which roles need approval and which roles can approve, at your level and at your customers’. A new filter surfaces outstanding requests so nothing is quietly forgotten.

Seller-level access to brokers

If you operate several brokers as a group, a seller account can now step straight into any linked broker. One login, one group view, instant switching — no signing out and back in. Seller-level billing also aggregates across your brokers.

New billing API endpoints

Faster, because the data is pre-generated, with more endpoints, filters and properties. Pull large data sets in seconds for your finance, invoicing and BI systems. Your existing endpoints keep working; these are additions.

What is coming next

Timing is indicative and shifts as we learn what matters most to you.

  • NCE growth margins — see available margins as you purchase, with recommendations on which activations pay off. Growing margin on customers you already have, with no new sales required.

  • Bulk price management with price plans — set pricing once and apply it to every customer on that plan, move customers between plans, and update everything in one step. Customer-specific overrides remain where you need them.

  • Azure cost centres — allocate Azure consumption to cost centres the way you already do for seat-based services.

  • Subscription change report — a clear record of what changed, including changes made in Microsoft Partner Center between syncs.

  • Insights and recommendations (first half of 2027) — deeper insight into your customer base and finances, with recommendations that help you grow profitability.

  • More for your end customers (first half of 2027) — API access, interface improvements, and more self-service insight and control.
