Broker, Organization, and Tenant

  • An organization falls under the purview of a broker, meaning the organization can buy and consume services offered by the broker.

  • If a broker offers Microsoft services and an organization opts for them, the organization is assigned a Tenant ID generated by Microsoft, this Cloudmore organization is also referred to as a tenant.

How it all works

When an organization is created under the broker, it remains just a Cloudmore organization that can buy and consume services offered by the broker. Two scenarios arise in which an organization can become a tenant.

  • When an organization adds a Microsoft service from the E-Store - The Microsoft Partner Center generates a unique tenant ID for that organization. This tenant ID is then used to map the organization to the tenant on the Cloudmore platform. During this phase, the organization's details (name, email, etc.) are shared with the Microsoft Partner to create the tenant. The tenant ID is shared with Cloudmore and then mapped to the organization.

Adding an MS Service by the organization

  • Link Tenant Manually - When an organization is registered with the MS Partner Center and also exists as an organization on Cloudmore, the broker can manually update the organization's details with the tenant ID. In this case, the tenant ID gets updated against the organization in the Cloudmore platform.

Linking Organisation with the tenant ID

The tenant linking process ensures that organizations and tenants are accurately managed on the Cloudmore platform. By keeping information synchronized between the Microsoft Partner Center and Cloudmore, brokers can provide efficient and reliable service to their clients.
