API Guide Microsoft customer agreement partner attestation

Overview

MCA Partner attestation allows partners to attest to end customers acceptance of the Microsoft Customer Agreement.

Acceptance to the MCA is required in order to create new subscriptions as well as modifying existing ones.

End customer acceptance can be provided by either direct acceptance of partner attestation.

Microsoft announced changes

With the changes announced by Microsoft, affecting the Microsoft partner attestation process for the Microsoft customer agreement, we are making changes to the Cloudmore platform.

The changes will affect both the website UI as well as the Cloudmore API.

The major difference in the new flow, compared to the previous one, is the fact that for an attestation Microsoft will generate a version of the MCA and allow for this to be presented as a website.

In order to finalize an attestation, acceptance to the generated agreement will have to be provided via the mentioned website.

There is no authentication required to access the site where acceptance has to be provided, meaning that partners will be able to send this to their end customers for review and acceptance or, in cases where sufficient evidence of acceptance has already been collected, partners can technically perform the step of providing acceptance and finalize the agreement without outsourcing part of this process to the end customer.

This will all be quite straight forward using the UI but will introduce changes in cases where API is used to support this process.
