Currency Support

Overview

This document explains how Cloudmore supports billing and reporting in multiple currencies, making it easier to work with international customers and partners.

It allows users to convert billing data into various currencies and ensures that financial reports accurately reflect values for each market.

This helps organizations maintain clear, consistent, and accurate financial reporting across different regions.

Terminology related to Currency

Default currency - It is the main currency for the company. The default currency is applied to prices when setting up the product.

Currency Support for Custom Services

In Cloudmore, custom services created by brokers must follow the currency settings defined by the Seller. Brokers cannot introduce new currencies that the Seller hasn’t already added to the service at the Seller level.

  • Currency price lists at the broker level are only allowed if the corresponding cost currency is already defined by the Seller.

  • This ensures that all pricing and billing remain consistent with the Seller’s configuration.

  • Brokers are expected to use services provided at the Seller layer, rather than creating entirely new custom services with independent currency settings.

This setup helps maintain accuracy, transparency, and control in multi-currency environments, especially when managing international billing.

Steps to Configure Currencies

  1. Log in to Cloudmore with your seller account.

  2. Navigate to Services > Custom Services

  3. Select the service you wish to configure the currency settings for, and select Actions > Marketing.

  4. Select the Currency tab to manage currencies for the service.

Currency Support for CSP Service

For a CSP service, it follows the default currency set by the Broker. This default currency is automatically inherited by all Organizations under that Broker, ensuring that billing and reporting are consistent across the environment.

Steps to Set the Default Currency for Broker

  1. Log in to Cloudmore with your broker account.

  2. Navigate to Broker > Properties

  3. The default currency is automatically set based on the country selected from the dropdown menu.
